Best Kids Birthday Spots in Auckland

Planning a party but don't want to deal with the clean up? We've got you covered - here are all the best spots to host your next kids party in Auckland.

The most frequently asked question we get (outside of playgrounds and cafes), is "where can we host our kids birthday party?!"

So we wanted to share a bunch of the best spots - as voted by the Roam With Kids Community! Hopefully this will make planning your next party stress free & more fun for everyone.

We asked our community for their favourite party venues in Auckland, and here's what they had to say:

My Wonderland! We love this place for so many reasons, but they literally take all the stress out of planning a party.

Mt Albert YMCA - the Rattray room here is great and is used as a playgroup venue so well set up for kids. It also has a sandpit!

Ranui Community Centre - there's a playground, play room, and you get to use the toys from the playgroup!

Bounce! Another super easy option the kids will love - they're in Takanini, North Shore, and Avondale.

Herald Island Community Hall - this hall is an awesome spot for a party, as it's right next to an epic (newly upgraded) playground.

Albany Stadium Pools have a party room (and are generally very fun pools with a great toddler area and slide). A pool party is also such a cool, unique idea!

Te Ouru Community Hall - you get a massive bouncy castle, gym equipment, and a party room - how good!

Rise & Shine Cafe in Parata Rise - you can book out the covered deck area, and they have an awesome playground. Worth noting that there is a fun water play area, so we recommend packing spare clothes!

Devonport Plunket - they have a great big room and a fully fenced playground - this is a perfect option for toddlers and preschoolers!

Sandringham Community Centre - the playroom and playground are great.

Oratia Settlers Hall - has a fenced playground!

Grey Lynn Community Centre - another option with a fenced playground.

Butterfly Creek - have a party room and cool playground with some free range chickens roaming around.

Fields Cafe - there's a party room and a playground outside (outside the cafe - not outside the party room). The playground here is great for older kids, but we wouldn't recommend for toddlers.

Percy Cafe - also have a party room! Their playground outside is small but great for preschoolers.

Huddle Cafe - another great cafe with an affordable party room you can hire.

Playcentres - heaps (/most) of them can be hired, and they have great fully fenced outdoor playgrounds!

If you're looking for something a bit different - NHG run gymnastics parties, Chelsea Sugar Factory run baking parties, or you can have a private movie party at Silky Otter Cinema!

That’s a wrap on our party guide!

We hope you’ve found some inspiration and ideas for your next party.
